Free Skill Games

Precision, timing and control. Easy to understand, genuinely hard to master.

Skill games ask for execution. You can see exactly what needs to happen, you know which buttons make it happen, and the whole difficulty sits in doing it — at the right moment, by the right margin, without the small error that sends you back to the checkpoint. Nothing here is hidden from you, which is what makes failure feel like something you can fix.

About skill games

Platformers are the clearest example. A jump either clears the gap or it does not, and the distance between those two outcomes is a few frames of input and a few pixels of position. Getting from "that looks impossible" to clearing it without thinking is the whole arc of the genre, and it happens faster than most people expect, because you are not learning a strategy so much as calibrating a feel.

The one thing a skill game must never do is ask for something it has not made possible. A jump that cannot physically be made with the movement the game gives you is not difficulty, it is a bug, and it is invisible to everything except playing the level. So every level here is checked against the game’s real physics before it ships: an automated pass confirms the exit is reachable and that every collectable on the way can actually be got to within the jump the player actually has.

Restarts are instant and unlimited, because a skill game is only fun when retrying is cheap. Progress saves to your own browser, so the level you fought through stays beaten.
