About puzzle games
The genre splits roughly in two. Spatial puzzles hand you a board and a set of legal moves, and the difficulty lives in working out the order to make them: what has to shift before the thing you actually want to move has anywhere to go. Deduction puzzles hand you evidence instead, and ask you to narrow a field of possibilities until one answer survives. Both reward the same habit — working backwards from the goal rather than forwards from wherever you happen to be.
Our puzzles are built to be fair. Every level has a solution that can be reached from the starting position, and none of them depend on a lucky guess or on spotting something deliberately hidden. That is checked rather than assumed: before a puzzle game ships here, an automated solver plays every level and proves it can be finished, and that the recorded optimal solution really is optimal. A level that cannot be solved never reaches the site.
If you are new to the genre, start with a game that shows you its whole board at once — everything you need is visible, and the challenge is reading it properly. Undo and restart are always available and cost you nothing but the move counter, so experimenting is free. Your progress and best scores save to your own browser automatically, which means you can close the tab halfway through a level and pick it up exactly where you left it.
